Rodrigo Laserna

Rodrigo Laserna (1987) learned horse back riding at the ranch of his family in Colombia. Via videotapes he meticulously studied the art of dressage. He received his education at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in the Spanish Jerez, where he was a pupil of Rafael Soto. In addition to riding, Rodrigo developed his techniques in training a horse in hand. After his education, Rodrigo was employed at the renowned equestrian sport facility Heilan in China, where he had a quadrille under his wing. In China, he met Imke Schellekens-Bartels and her mother Tineke and went on to work at their olympic dressage stable Academy Bartels. In the Netherlands, Rodigro was on track to the Grand Prix with Exit LW (s.Johnson) and was successful in the international Small Tour with United-offspring Casper. Over the last years, Laserna has grown to become a widely-recognized name as a trainer. Numerous people active in dressage sport have found their way to Rodrigo, thanks to his technical abilities to teach piaffe in hand.
